Trapeze Group Awarded Travel Information Contract for National Transport Authority, Ireland

Trapeze Group has been awarded the contract to deliver a new Travel Information Services and Systems (TISS) technology solution to the National Transport Authority (NTA).

Bernard Higgins, Director of Transport Technology at the NTA commented: “Having awarded the contract to Trapeze we are looking forward to delivering innovative information products to our customers and a streamlined schedule management solution to our Operators and to our schedule management staff in the NTA”.

This solution helps support the NTA with their strategic goals of improving public transport services by effectively managing the data for the transport network across the Republic of Ireland, working in collaboration with transport operators, and delivering reliable, accessible passenger information to the travelling public.

The system being delivered is based on Trapeze’s existing Novus platform, which already supports many Combined Authorities and Local Authorities across the UK, including in London where it is currently being implemented.

The NTA’s solution will include several modules from the Novus portfolio, including: data management, at stop publicity materials, real time information, travel information apps and an operator licence portal which supports operators to run frequent and reliable services that meet the requirements of the traveling public and ultimately increase ridership.

The TISS project is planned for completion in Autumn 2021.
